Anything in the 95-99% range is exactly the same so take your PTO. I think you'd only truly stand out if you're at 110+

Maybe see if you can take a vacation in the new PY but bill the PTO in the current one... then when you're on your vacation you can bill the client and get that utilization in the new PY. Highly sketchy and I would only ask if you have a cool manager but someone let me do that one year when I had some PTO that was going to expire.

You miss 100% of the shots you don't take. Actually come to think of it this also happened last year with my project as well. Not with PTO but they told me I could bill a PRD code the last two weeks of the PY and move those hours into into the new PY. Maybe I just work with people who got my back.

I’m 2.5 weeks out of training and haven’t been utilized to the full extent. I haven’t been staffed and rarely have been asked to complete smaller one-off projects. Who should I talk to? MD? Associate? Other analysts? Broader question is ‘how do I ask for work?’

I have 10+ years of experience Agency side, but looking to move Client side with remote work. I've applied for a number of roles either directly on Client sites or via LinkedIn, but haven't even received anything other than a straight rejection at the first stage. Wondering if anyone has experienced similar and overcome it/any tips. My resume has a number of large Agencies and global clients on it, with (IMO at least) some nice success stories, but wondering if I'm missing something obvious.

Client asks us to design a poster for an IMAX movie that features how blockbuster movies are made. One of the key features in the movie is King Kong so we featured it prominently on the poster as well. Client asks seriously whether we need to be concerned about offending an African American audience. I shit you not! Arguably my most jaw dropping moment in this business.

So my friend at PwC said they’re having “utilization concerns” and think it might negatively impact them come EoY… here’s my question - why do firms track this if staffing ultimately has your fate? I don’t think we track this, which makes sense to me because staffing says “hey you’re going to be doing X for date Y-Z.” How can you benchmark people on something driven by business demand?

I am having the hardest time in my life. Depression and anxiety have become unmanageable from the pressure to bill with only a ten vacation day policy. I don’t sleep anymore. I cry every single day. I have pushed through so much mentally to keep going, To keep logging in and billing but after two years the burnout is real. I have no more will do anything. I’m mentally burnt. My body physically aches from the lack of sleep and pure state of stress I’m constantly in. Any encouragement? Something?

Has anyone tried EMDR to deal with childhood traumatic experiences? I'm not talking about things like physical abuse etc. but due to separation from parents at a young age which was driven by circumstances and decisions parents made. Due to this, I don't feel much connection with my parents. It has impacted my romantic relationships and causes constant anxiety at work because I feel like a helpless child inside, lack confidence and self worth and fear failure. Appreciate any EMDR experiences.
