I think they will get back to you with the revised offer. If they give 11.2 then it's good to go. Else I feel 13lpa with Mindtree is also a good option considering ur experience that's the right pay. And Mindtree is also a very good org. But take your call in terms of overall benefits.
Use these 3 parameters to compare the firms:
1. Roles and Opportunities
2. Brand
3. Money
I feel Deloitte fares really high on 1 and 2, whereas Mindtree does well only on 3. Deloitte also has a fabulous culture along with well-rounded incentives.
Finally, if you keep comparing with your peers/friends rather than your past self in any aspect (whether monetary, skills or otherwise), then my friend, you will be unhappy your entire life.
All the best!
Well said, I totally agree with your point.
Joining Deloitte even at 11.2 Fixed would be better for long run, given brand, learning opportunities, network etc. Don't be greedy, you already are getting more than 100%hike.
I understand, based on your work ex. Market rate may be high. But getting experience in good organization will add value and also you can always switch after 2-3 yrs of Deloitte experience ...right...with again maybe 60%hike...who knows
Why Deloitte? Deloitte has no work life balance...You will regret
Chief
@W2: I think you're new so you've not seen earlier posts and hence making a conclusion too soon. This thread is an exception to the general trend here - I suggest you go through older posts from the last few months - every time anyone (including me) said anything positive about Deloitte cos we're genuinely happy at the firm, people have spewed hate onto us by calling us PR team, HR, bootlickers, slaves, underlings of the overlords and what not.
The objective of this community is to present all viewpoints so that any other professional wanting to gain insights about a firm can make an informed decision, without being swayed by one side of the story. - That is what is REALLY needed.
;)
Join Deloitte for more learning stuff and quality work.
And to add to top discussed points..check your commitment..Work like balance .long hours(on average 14-16 hours ..before PR team comes knocking yes it's true most folks at Deloitte will vouch for it .. remember there is something called Fi which u have to work outside of project..for good rating ..other than that benefits I believe are best in the industry.no doubt on that VP....u I'll end up getting it ..no worries on that . Even hikes will be good ( based on past data ) now a days it's not been that good anymore though .
WLB at Deloitte purely depends on your team and projects. I've been with Advisory practice with a good pay but working only 7-8 hours and never worked on a Saturday in my past 2 years.
I'm in technology consulting too. Good work life balance. Entirely depends upon your project.
What is your current package
Now 5.21 LPA with 5.3 years of experience into Azure cloud.
It was last year's revised compensation letter. This year I didn't get revised CTC since I'm serving notice period already. I told these point to HR but seems she is not taking these all serious obviously.
@OP did you have to share the offer letter from Mindtree with Deloitte to prove the 13L offer? Or did they believe you for your word? (I'm pretty new to such negotiations, so just curious)
I had to share the counter offer letter, HR checked while we were talking on the phone call.
You can join Deloitte after one year with more package.
100% Agree, since the offered salary has big difference as per the CTC, you should join Mindtree.
And you can leave that after 1-2 years and go to Deloitte if you want, you will get more than 20 LPA there,
Do you think you now can't clear interview of Deloitte in future if rejected the offer now?
If you are going for deloitte, Work life balance should definitely be considered. If you are confident you can manage 11-12 hours daily, and 2 out 5 times on Sat. Then yes, big yes for deloitte, otherwise Mindtree is also very good company.
You usually get your full variable and even more. So, it's actually 12.4+ for Deloitte
How much years of experience do you have? I have 2.5 even I have not reached 1/4 of that.🤕.. what to do for that?
