Did anyone get a job with a pending dui? The original was from 2021 but it’s still pending in the courts. I’m worried I’ll fail background check.

Disclose it to HR once the background check process is started. Of course it doesn’t look great but it’s going to pop on a background check. Be honest and contrite and it shouldn’t be an issue.

Yes! Sadly lots of people have DUI convictions. Just list it. It’s about the integrity. Also did not impact receiving an ACTIVE TS. Plus it was 4 years ago. Why the long delay? Did you hire an attorney? Worst case it gets reduced the reckless driving. Still a misdemeanor, but doesn’t appear as bad as DUI.

like

And remember, you’ve only been charged if the case is still pending, not convicted. You’ll be fine. I’ve seen and heard much worse. Just look at all the people in congress. 🤷

Don't forget the fine people of the executive branch, including the top man himself.

I have a DUI on my record. During the recruiting process I told them about it prior to the background check so there were no surprises. Got hired.

If it’s not cleared might not get the job due to driving restrictions.

Hello UST folks,

Those who don't know we have got the access to "Udemy Business". Earlier it was not allowed, now we can use the Udemy for all learning. I am happy and wanted to share with you all.

Does anyone here browse YouTube videos for tips on running your practice? New legal software to try? Nuances in argumentation, deposition or trial skills, etc? IF so, how do you search for content? Do you have favorite channels you recommend (even if they happen to be yours)? We are thinking of starting a YouTube channel giving practical advice for practicing lawyers. We want to be value-added - and there is not too much competition in our state. Thanks for your thoughts!!

I’m a new CSM (9 months) and I work at a company that doesn’t invest much in its CSM team. I’ve been struggling because as time goes on I feel more and more like a token hire. We have no play book/structure, no CSM tool and I’m current organizing all 95 of my clients on spreadsheets while also handling presales trials with a salary under 50k.

Long story short: I’m searching for mentorship or to be pointed in the direction of a good course so I can help the clients I do have while I’m here

If you’re a staff living at home, do you enjoy having seniors who will chat with you about random things or would you rather just get your work done and log off?

This track usually leads to director of revenue. Offer 2 - internal audit staff so SOX and compliance projects.
