Disclose it to HR once the background check process is started. Of course it doesn’t look great but it’s going to pop on a background check. Be honest and contrite and it shouldn’t be an issue.
Yes! Sadly lots of people have DUI convictions. Just list it. It’s about the integrity. Also did not impact receiving an ACTIVE TS. Plus it was 4 years ago. Why the long delay? Did you hire an attorney? Worst case it gets reduced the reckless driving. Still a misdemeanor, but doesn’t appear as bad as DUI.
And remember, you’ve only been charged if the case is still pending, not convicted. You’ll be fine. I’ve seen and heard much worse. Just look at all the people in congress. 🤷
Don't forget the fine people of the executive branch, including the top man himself.
I have a DUI on my record. During the recruiting process I told them about it prior to the background check so there were no surprises. Got hired.
If it’s not cleared might not get the job due to driving restrictions.
