Also came from PwC, it has the best tech
Came from PwC, agreed that they have the best tech
Not EY. Our tech is hot garbage
Totally agree - EY brags about having the "largest SAP implementation ever", but the implementation was quite poor. SAP Sales Cloud "checks the boxes" for requirements, but it is ridiculously unfriendly for people that actually have to use it - such a waste of time. So many other problems with our tech as well - many major improvements in the past 5 years - but still terrible.
I’ve worked at PwC and EY - I’d say PwC
I’ve only worked at EY, I agree
Pro
PwC for sure
I came from PwC and could vouch for PwC having better tech
I work for KPMG IT. I will tell you ours tech is the worst. I’m amazed how our IT advisory can sell any of this.
Pro
I’m amazed we even have an IT advisory group.
God how is ours the best??????
The thing is that Microsoft stuff is of course is so much better than Google as standalone spreadsheet/slides/document tools, but when it comes to collaboration, Google is in a different league. Microsoft just feels clunky and slow and buggy, whereas Google is just so seamless, collaborating in the cloud becomes second nature even for most of non-tech old school partners.
Seems the consensus is PwC, but I still think our laptops should have more memory and better (faster) processors.
I have the Dell 5520. It’s probably heavier than our standard laptops, but I don’t think it’s too heavy. I travel with it all the time.
Can confirm PwC technology is at the too of the big 4.
Funny all the votes in favor of PwC, yet there are endless messages boards etc with rants about how crap it is. I've got several large clients who have told me about the vaporware PwC tried to pitch them.
Everyone hates their own software ultimately. We (big 4) all spend 100s of millions each on our own tech and they'll never come close to Microsoft et al.
Rising Star
Internal tech =/= tech the firm is trying to sell to clients.
I'm over here thinking "I really like our tech" but hearing everyone brag about pwc tech I'm wondering if I just dont know any better 🤣 what kind of stuff do yall have over there at pwc?
Just the overall systems/ software available for use.(like ease of use, software wise you dont have to do 40 steps to get one thing done)
The quality of laptops.
The tools at your disposal, and great.
kpmg systems are improving but still bad. pwc emails/sharing are google cloud based. kpmg ms office (basically outlook with limited storage=annoying)
Never kpmg
Which level are you looking for
B4 Firms i negotiated senior pay, but at staff level.
Mid tiers
Senior
There’s a reason why B4 is hiring anyone with a pulse…take note
When you guys say tech what do you mean - do you mean like platforms - technology centers etc.?
I probably have like 6 chargers laying around from pwc lol
Deloitte has great internally developed systems. A lot of internally developed bots to help too. Deloitte tech is why I joined the firm, although I know PWC does claim they have better tech.
I’ve worked at PwC and KPMG and it’s not even close. PwC is way better across the board from a tech standpoint.
Is OP trolling? I mean this is insignificant in the grand scheme of things. Of course any big 4 has more than adequate tech. Even a mid-tier is great, might even be better as tech.
Rising Star
Not necessarily. I do a ton of admin and the systems matter. I save hours a week at PwC as compared to EY.
