Disillusioned at Schwab – want to go full trader at HF/prop firm. Realistic?

Schwab broker (7/63) here, 1 yr in. Thought this would be more about equities and actual investing/trading but it's mostly hand-holding clients and zero appetite for risk. Not what I signed up for.

Been trading my own book successfully for 5 years though — consistent track record, strategy built on solid books, data, economic models. That's basically all I have besides the licenses.

Anyone gone from broker to trader?

Any cyber security folks here? or those interested in systems engineering? Potential role with TC 120-180, awesome team and wlb, at least compared to consulting.

Lets us discuss why Indian companies expects/forces/ us to work more than 9 hours but in timesheet we have to fill 8.
Managers schedule meeting after office hours and expects us to be available always.

Sorry to say this but I have seen only Indians who work extra hours. What's even funny is that the upper management laugh at foreigners who work exactly 8hours.

Should we not change our mentality?
What should we do to not follow this anymore?

Currently work in a very unique Wealth Management ops role.

Getting paid 85k base with 40k in bonus plus about 35k~ in OT.

Money isn’t everything but in my late 20s it feels like the only thing important right now.

WLB is next to zero as 60hr weeks are the minimum as of late. Management feels like they are trying to push a few of us out. Was told not to expect much come year end for comp. Any suggestions on finding a new role/pay expectations?
