Come on guys. That’s still pretty generous. You won’t get close to that at a lot of jobs. Also, if you’re in the running for promotion, no way you take the full amount of time anyway.
@A7 it’s not “rich person entitlement”… you should work on your mentality
Though i agree, this article is like two years old.
My current firm gave me 6 weeks paternity leave and my last firm only offered 4, so 12 weeks still seems pretty great to me for the “non-birthing” parent
lol. You realize this is a 2024 article, right?
This is 2 years old… if you want to see a shit law of today look at White & Case
Quit my last firm that offered 4 weeks non-birthing parents. New firm gave me 16
I lateraled to DLA in 2024 just after this policy. I came from a firm that pushed back on 4 weeks and only gave me 2 week parental leave for my first born. I immediately took leave at DLA after lateraling and took full 12 weeks and it was great. Bad policy to cut the leave but still grateful for it
6 weeks is insane, puppies get 8 weeks before you can adopt them lmfao

12 weeks is what I got at my firm. It wasn’t enough.
