If you're comfortable with Excel logic, you can learn SQL within a month. It's just about familiarizing yourself with the syntax
I used Hackerrank and tried earning one star a week. Make sure to take the time to understand each part of the query as you go.

I kept pronouncing SQL "ess-quell" until an annoyed DB admin sat me down and gave me a stern lecture on why I was playing with fire, and then made me do subqueries and join clauses for the rest of my engagement as punishment
