TikTok for reach
I have many side ventures that I started and stopped. There are a few that stick around. Do it because you like writing first and foremost. Then figure out how to monetize it.
Many people are there own brand nowadays. They just want to connect. Be human.
Very few will want the technical breakdown unless their job or project demands it.
interesting take. I don't think I know anyone in my network who has tried to find clients this way, but now that you say it, I guess it's not a very bad way to approach it. Following to see if there are people who actually do this!!
It could be interesting to have a blog, but I don't see it working to attract clients. The thing with a blog is that it's got wide reach, being on the internet, and to get clients you need local reach. Even if you pick up a readership, which would be quite a challenge anyway, most of your readers might be quite distant and won't require your services. If you have a website for your business, it might be interesting to put a blog on the site. Updating it now and then with business insights, or trends you're spotting, that sort of thing, that could be interesting. Local businesses do this effectively, a law firm will have a blog and post a story about how they participated in a local charity event. That sort of blogging builds a local following.
