I think you need to figure out the role before a search firm can help you. What do you do and who (or role) do you interact with across clients? What do you want to do?
Any of the SHREK firms will place into those senior roles but they don’t have a map from consulting to industry for you.
Executive Search companies aren't going to help you. They're out to help their clients by finding candidates, not help candidates to find roles. When they do help you, it's incidental to their aim. The best way to get them to actually help you is to be extremely helpful to them. Give them referrals to paid work or access to really great other candidates.
Remember search firms find people for jobs not jobs for people
At the end, its the same
Same.
There’s a pretty cool firm that I’ve worked with that is basically a reverse search firm - you hire them .. fee is around $20k .. they manage and maintain relationships with ~500 search firms globally
