Do I need a negative COVID test to fly into JFK? There’s conflicting information online, so I’m unsure what the protocol is

From what I understand, you don’t have to. You have 2 options:
1. Have a negative COVID test within 72 hours of the flight and you can show the results upon arrival. Then you are supposed to get another COVID test 4 days after landing and that must be negative too. If it’s negative, no quarantine needed
2. Don’t have the negative COVID test before the flight, but then you have to quarantine for 10 days after you land in NY.

Recently flew in and this is correct.

How do they keep track when driving into NYC from out of state?

PM1 is correct, it’s almost impossible to track driving in so that’s more of an honor system

like

Where are you coming from? Technically those are the rules but Ive never seen it enforced 🤷🏻‍♀️

SC1 I was stopped at the arrival gate at LGA after my flight, was asked to show my negative COVID test, or write down where I was planning on quarantining

Pros:

- fairly decent place to work (from someone who worked with the Vancouver and San Jose offices). never met a blue badger (permanent employee) who had awful things to say.

- Ashley Goodall (their SVP, Methods & Intelligence) co-authored a brilliant book on leadership and people management called “Nine Lies About Work” that makes me believe they can be an awesome place to work

Cons:

- red badgers had low morale since they’re contract workers and can be terminated at any time

Just used a meaningful amount of AMEX points for the first time to buy flights to Greece for my wife and I. Emirates business class both ways for 2 people, 290k pts total or 145k each way for 2 tickets. Plus another 30k to get us round trip domestic connecting flights bringing the total to 320 points. This is on the 777 which isn’t the best business class product out there, but I’ve never flown international outside of coach and think it will still be worthwhile. Think this is an OK redemption?
