Is it worth hiring a real estate attorney to look over the contract when buying a condo? First real estate purchase so appreciate any tips / insights 😭

Yes. Most real estate attorneys will add their own rider to the contract that provides you additional protections if something goes wrong with the sale. It’s also helpful to have someone on your side if you end up in a position where you’re entitled to get your deposit back and the seller refuses (someone posted about this exact situation a few days ago). You can get a good RE attorney for $1500, which seems reasonable for what they’re providing.

My husband and I are going through the buying process right now and I have no regrets about the money we spent on an attorney.

We’re using Michael Goldsmith at Robert Aronov & Associates on the recommendation of a friend. He’s been great so far.

Incoming MBA, I have my tuition paid for and rent covered (I will be an RA). So the only thing I need to pay for is food and entertainment. Do you think 20k is enough to last me through the 2 years? First time buying flat.

Currently going through some negations on an internal role. I’m currently at 88k and they offered me 100k for a position that requires a lot more work. Do you guys think it’s easier to land a higher salary when applying externally rather than internally? Also this is for a territory sales management role. They stated 120k+ is extremely high for that role. What do you guys think? Playing the game?
