Do I need to give 2 weeks notice if they've stopped scheduling me? I booked some time off work, came back about 2 weeks ago and haven't been scheduled at all. I'm not particularly fond of this job and have been looking for other work. Do I need to give proper notice if they still don't schedule me and I find something else?

I mean, two weeks notice is a courtesy. If you aren't on the schedule anyhow, I guess it does't really matter. But I wouldn't burn the bridge. I would still give them a letter of resignation.

Honestly, if they’re not scheduling you at all, you’re not really ‘employed’ in a practical sense. You don’t have to give two weeks, but it’s always nice to leave on good terms if you can. Otherwise, just move on when you find something better.
