I agree with you almost as safe as safe can be anywhere in the world

Job stability is a direct result of how valuable you are. If you do something or have a skill that's difficult to replace, you don't have to worry about being laid off or having your job automated or offshored.

like

This is far from true. Massive layoff are done from an economical point of view (from the company) and they don’t care if you are valuable or not as long as the numbers are the ones they one. Sad but reality

This is a very subjective question and youbgave to think about the climate you're working with. I've been in operation for years and I've always seen firms trying to cut costs by sending over roles to cheaper countries. And they typically do this quite often. I would suggest you find roles that can't be transferred to easily automated

Remember when everyone thought tech/SWE jobs were stable? It could be that healthcare is where there’s more job security (medical field, not biotech)

I'm an accounts receivable expert with 8+ yrs of experience. I started with 96k per annum in 2014, and have worked with 4 different MNCs since then. Currently I'm getting approx 9Lpa, and it feels like I'm pretty much stuck here. Switching jobs increases the pay scale, while staying for a while reflects stability.

When I look at the other member's comments here, it seems majority of folks are earning 20-30Lpa or even more.

Any suggestions from mature audience to achieve a big pay raise.
