Cheap mindset management cares more about timesheet, wfo, forceful mandatory trainings, imposing strict restrictions on laptop, access to personal docs only via vpn,no employee well being no salary hikes nth at all.90% projects filled with freshers coz they cost less.No WLB for good dedicated hard working employees as they are punished with more and more work, leaves rewards mostly for people who don’t work. But no issues kyunki job security hai 😂

What field is everyone here working in?
Hmm. I’m attracted to engineers..
New to Fishbowl?

I do not. I trained up people who are making 10k more than I with overtime. I switched from designer to engineer so I don't know how the other engineers compare
I left my last company because I found out I was being paid 5k less than the guy I was training. I had 5 years experience at the company....he had 1 year of work after college. I left and started making 20k more at the new position. Always need to discuss wages at work. It is a protected right no matter what the company says
Yes. The trick is to always be moving. If you stay at a company for even 3 years, the likelihood that new hires are making more than you is pretty high. Your 2-3% raise is not going to keep up with the pay increase for the same position 3+ years later.
2-3 YOE, look for a new job. Repeat this a few times and you’ll increase salary 2-3x. I’ve done this personally. Started at 70k, took new job 2 years later making 105k. 3 years later, new job making 170k. 1.5 years later, new job making 190k etc…
I definitely took on a lot more responsibility, but with each new job came a new title (promotion) and salary bump. I would never leave one job for another without a decent pay raise and “promotion”.
I feel like I am currently. I do hope it adjusts and becomes more with the extra responsibilities I begin to take on. Do you think you're paid fairly?
No.
