There are. In some small to mid sized indie agencies they live and die by their people. I’ve seen many a small agency CCO get humbled when he/she loses their entire creative team because they’re a douche canoe. I’ve seen it go the other way too. I’ve seen agency leadership being held hostage by a creative team who are terrible but the client likes.
The agency world is in a state of emergency. I’ve met both wonderful humans and shitty people at agencies. But for some reason at the moment, every agency is trying to optimize output at speed with no real viable ideas.

agencies were never human to begin with, biggest stunt advertising ever pulled was making new hires believe they are.
Agree with going indie, but also do your research. Don’t be deceived that all independent shops are good though. Yes there’s pros and cons to both sides, but independent can sometimes be more difficult
