Six Sigma Black Belt, ISM CPSM and CPSD have been helpful in my career. I feel like everyone should hold Sigma and ASCM-CSCP.
In my opinion I think it depends on what degree you have. I have my MBA and I find that it opens doors. If you don't have a post graduate degree, I believe certifications are a good thing then.
I have 50 years of supply chain experience. In my opinion, Yes, certification is helpful.
I can't confirm for sure if it does, but I find that I get more companies/hiring managers interested in my LinkedIn profile whenever I have a new certification added to my profile.
