If they ask. I keep an album in my phone I can easily pull up that i know I’m ok with sharing.
I used to but stopped. Once you begin sharing your personal life, coworkers believe they are entitled to ask questions. Just don't open the door.
Occasionally. They’re on my phone lock screen so sometimes people just see it
Generally I don't. I have kept a few pics sorted which can be shown, prefer not to open the gallery and scroll through all pics.
I show if kids are the topic... I don't share copies or albums.
Pro
Only if they ask. I assume most people don’t care so I don’t want to bother them with it.
Yes
When we had our own offices, I had pictures of my kids in my office. Other than that, it's just when something specific comes up in conversation. So, occasionally.
Nah
I don't share pix, and no one has asked if I have pix of my kids. Also, I don't tell people at work that my wife is a doctor (oops - I just did). At one firm that was downsizing due to losing some important clients, I heard someone say "we can't fire (a certain employee) because her husband works on a garbage truck." I wouldn't want to be in a situation where I could be let go because the boss believes that my wife is a high earner.
Yes to other parents. They joyfully reciprocate.
No to the childless. I remember being so polite about it to those above me but did not care at all. 🤪
