Do you take on part time tech projects while already working a full time job? I have often wondered how professionals balance additional tech gigs alongside regular work responsibilities, especially when both demand focus and energy. The extra income and experience can be valuable, but managing deadlines across multiple commitments can quickly become challenging. For those doing both, how do you manage your workload without burning out?

I know this bowl isn’t the most active, but my grandmother is in the hospital for Covid (severely high risk), grandfather has it, as does my mom and 8 year old brother. My mom is also experiencing PTSD or some form of mental issue where she has certain triggering events. Everyone is concerned about her and my grandmother. Please keep my family in your prayers

How does contract to hire work? If I’m offered $37/hr on w2 for 3 months and then possibly a permanent position, how much can I expect to get annually as a full time company employee as a BI data analyst II? I have a M.S. and certificates in DA but this will be my first job as DA.
I prefer working for what is offered on contract without negotiating, and then negotiate when I transition into the company itself so I have a better chance of getting the contract position and show my skills.

Asking advice from a recruiter: I’ve been recently laid off :( This week I took some time to reflect, talk to friends and family. I want to be more thoughtful on my next move and although interviewing right away would be logical I feel I want to take a break and some time for myself. Take a month or two off working and use that time to plan thoughtfully on my next move. Would having that gap in my resume be an issue when I go back to the job market?
