Hi fishes! I volunteer with The Art of Good, a creative collective helping small businesses affected by the pandemic. They are seeking a little help from a media professional. Need an SEM POV for a small business looking to change their name and relaunch their brand. This is non-paid. More about giving back while in-between gigs. :) If you can help out or want to learn more, please reach out to me via LinkedIN. Thank you!! www.linkedin.com/in/karenkohn/

Because we have foosball table, la croix and wacky open floor plan
Yes, by a wide margin. Cause we’re desperate to get paid, and desperate to make work that gets us noticed and hired elsewhere. It’s also why working at an agency is 5x harder. Capitalism doing what it does.
In my experience coming from working on an in house brand team, to now being in an agency, yes.
On the agency side, I wear a lot of different “brand hats” but focus my skill set on 1-2 things, honing in on how to make that output as strong as possible.
On the brand side, I wore a ton of different “function hats” that made it so I had to know a little about a lot of different aspects of marketing. It was hard to elevate those functions because the time needed to do that was impossible. Creativity being one of those functions. Creativity takes time and focus on each area.
Because, they’re not privy to all the politics and internal thinking that eventually can cloud creative judgment. They don’t go into ideas thinking why it can’t work as often as thinking why it can.
