This is getting out of hand
No- they automatically add tip, usually.
When on expense account, tip like crazy! Who needs it more: Partners or hotel staff?
I round up to the nearest 5$ increment. I’m a regular at the hotel and they are always super friendly to me. It’s also not my money. Check this out: http://www.decisionsciencenews.com/2013/09/05/tipping-on-room-service-when-delivery-fee-and-service-charge-are-included/
^correct, S& typically bills a % amount up front so client could care less what we spend the money on. Works out better for everyone - we don't have to care about silly policy rules like "no lunch," and client knows up front exactly what expenses will be. Managing the expense budget is much easier when it's an internal affair.
No
S&1: expenses are usually billed to the client, so it does not go to the partner’s pocket...
Never when tip is already added
^^ That's assuming you're billing actuals. S&1's project is probably billing expenses as a percentage of fees (not actuals)
Do the same as you would with your own money. I usually add a couple of dollars if they pour the coffee and are nice.
