Does anyone know if you can work a Spring busy season with one public accounting firm then do a Fall busy season with a different firm? FYI as a seasonal gig worker. I’m thinking conflict of interest or independence might be an issue, but you’re no longer an employee of the first firm, so why wouldn’t you be able to work at a different one. Hmm

I work at an agency that prides itself on doing the right thing and partnering with clients to figure out a problem.

We have a client that is typically less-than-engaged but on a retainer. When she's eager and engaged, she takes up a lot of time... a lot of time that takes away from others in her org.

Is it typical to credit a client on retainer for unused hours i.e. work more because they were unresponsive.

I understand the principle, but it makes it hard to service other clients.

Just out of curiosity do Deloitte, KPMG & PwC have a CBS equivalent? Basically a group for all the non-Client Service employees. Lower raises and bonuses, less chance for promotion but supposedly people in this group work less hours and have “job security “..(which is mostly BS at EY as I’m now in CBS and often work 60-70 hours per week).
