Does anyone have any insight in forensic accounting jobs either within public accounting or outside of public accounting? I’m curious what comp is like, day-to-day work, hours, qualifications, etc. Currently up for manager promotion in audit but considering a shift. Don’t necessarily mind a little pay cut and title cut but also don’t want to start at the bottom again as an associate so not sure if switching fields is even feasible.

What’s the best way to turn down a 2nd interview? During the 1st interview, I learned that the compensation for the role is not within the range that I am looking for and requires 400 more billable hours a year than what I bill now. hey folks, does anyone have advice on how to leave a company that you just joined? I’ve been at my agency for barely two months before getting an amazing offer elsewhere. How do I leave? Should I leave before or after the holidays? My team/boss are SO nice, and I’d hate to burn a bridge.

I left PA earlier this year for a manager level financial reporting role. It was a lateral move but would’ve been up for senior manager promo in July had I stayed in PA. I was approached with another opportunity as Sr Manager Financial Reporting at a public company for $150k and 20% bonus with a clear path to director in time. 8 YOE and live in FL. Got hired 3 years ago- newly created staff accountant role with the plan that it’ll go into a senior and then manager role. 1.5 years in I get a title promotion to senior, told I’ll get more duties, start supervising AP, and get monetary promotion to match next year. Got way more work, but nothing else promised within that year. Told next money bump would be manager role (no raise for senior still) and I need to take on more and start supervising AP. Again, seeing nothing…time to leave?
