Your an associate and no one will know if you do go or don’t go.
Agree with everyone here. No one will miss you, no one will care. These are typically lame parties now anyway. The fun holiday parties of yesteryear have been destroyed by Human Resources sociopaths
Yeah agree with d1
Hate to break it to you but no one will miss you if you skip it.
Skipping due to vaccine mandate.
In 8 years, I have only been to 1. No one has ever cared.
And I have never heard anyone bring up lack of holiday party attendance during a review process.
Yeah I wouldn’t worry about it especially given covid. Personally have always liked to just be “social” with colleagues during actual work hours, and then GTFO. Has worked fine for me thus far!
Can always say you were around someine with covid, so self isolating as a precaution.
This is my excuse for everything
I used to work with a senior manager that never goes to HH until recently because he is trying to make partner. Just don’t go when you don’t feel like it. You will want to go when it is needed and at that time you would struggle a lot less on deciding.
Firm social functions are part of networking with your coworkers. No one will notice if you’re not at the holiday party, but they will notice if you *never* show up to a happy hour, etc. As long as you show up to like 25% you’re good
