Anyone feel frustrated at times with the super aggressive sales personalities we deal with? My AE is always pushing on every ask no matter how minuscule it is. My vp is super anal about anything we do. I understand these guys pull in huge commissions and bonuses that’s why they are so motivated. Follow up post to my last post…My husband was laid off from the company where I also work. I am feeling really isolated / depressed about working and moving forward. I’m also getting to a stage where I’m really sad that people haven’t reached out to either my husband or myself to send well wishes or provide support. It’s like they don’t know what to say or I make them feel awkward so they don’t bother…I’m trying to focus on a few that have been supportive but it’s hard…Any words of advice? 😞

I’ve been lay off this afternoon because low performance, it just two weeks ago I talked to my manager and told her that she’s micromanaging me a lot and I need more autonomy at my work. I didn’t like what they’ve done to me specially I’ve been redundant from the previous role before joining this company. I cannot sleep please any plan’ action and what to answer for the reason why you leave your company? I’ve been in 3 jobs for the last 2 years.

Was laid off in Sept. Unfortunately we will be seeing many more coming. It's what happens in a recession. Unfortunately I now also have my age against me. Not in a mentally good place at the moment.

Any advice on networking to find a new role? I've worked in the same place for so long and I'm not sure how to get started.

6 months pregnant and just laid off. And 40% of my severance was just taken in taxes .. I just spoke with paid family leave and I no longer qualify even though I had been paying into the program (thanks NY).. I already applied for unemployment but doctors are telling me I’ve got 10-14 weeks left in this pregnancy.. so stressed having twins and being unemployed, no maternity leave, no paychecks coming in, and I’ve been applying but not a single interview.. just ugh. 😭

The severance package at Meta for laid off employees almost makes it nice to be laid off depending on what your personal situation is….. personally wouldn’t mind getting 4+ months of full pay to reset and think about what’s next 😬

What do I say if my employer asks me if I’m looking for other work, or want to know if I plan on leaving at a certain date?

some context - I am a temp to hire, and the company wants to bring me on full time now that my contract with the agency expires this week.
