Midlevel corporate attorney considering an in-house offer in the wealth management space (RIA, multi family office). Work would be a mix of corporate and funds work. Interested in getting into the blockchain space long term. Would this role move me toward or away from that goal?

Question for yall. How likely is an offer once a company decides to do a reference check? I know I am in the final 2, from context clues in interviews. I just dont want to get my hopes up.

My wife and I are looking to buy a place but most the public schools in the South Bay are rated terribly. It’s good to note we don’t have kids yet but are trying to think longer term. Question for folks with second homes: Considering buying a vacation home but would be primarily for family use. We currently have a primary residence with a mortgage balance of ~640K, so my understanding is I could only deduct the mortgage interest on 110K of the second mortgage to stay under the 750K cap. If I were to buy the second home through an LLC, would that allow me to exceed that 750K since the expenses of the second home would be pass through expenses/income?
