Need serious advice. Been a Digital Strategy consultant for three years, heavy focus on product strategy, research, development. It’s a small but global consultancy (offices in nyc, brasil, colombia). If I’m getting dragged heavily for my performance and am completely overloaded with work, is it best to start looking for another job? I suspect I might get PIP’d this summer unless our abysmal staffing issues prevent that.

I’m literally so miserable in industry. I have been at it a few years and it’s boring. My boss likes to act like every minor issue is a 10 when it’s a 3 and creates emergencies where there aren’t any.

I recently got a job in public accounting firm (coming from industry). How do I improve my speed when doing clients’ work? I’m generally pretty careful and trying to find out some stuff before asking manager, but I know couple of my coworkers don’t really spend that much time and let managers figure them out.

Is it bad to be over-utilized? I just did the math and I could charge zero hours this week and take a 3 week vacation after and still be 100% utilized? Is that abnormal?

I joined EY in January. Had no work all of January, but was busy for February and some of March. I have been unassigned for about 4 weeks now, sending availability emails to all of the service lines we are allowed to reach out to for work. I should not have come here 🤦🏼‍♂️ I know it’s nice to have some down-time, but when every day is staring at a computer, the days are SO long.
