I’m literally so miserable in industry. I have been at it a few years and it’s boring. My boss likes to act like every minor issue is a 10 when it’s a 3 and creates emergencies where there aren’t any.

audit manager? want to come back?

funny

sounds like my experience in industry. fake deadlines and fires had me working more than i did in B4 audit.

I left after a year and went back to public. honestly a little tentative to give industry another shot because of it.

like

If there’s not a fire he will make one (and there never is a fire). I’ve never met someone with such a pathological need to be needed. I’m bored because I find I’m constantly in this tornado of putting out fires that aren’t really there. I want my work to mean something not just be a means to inflate the accomplishments of an insecure person.

Not stupid at all ! Analyst positions are the best. Most of the time you have to start out in tax auditing. Within 5-10 years you can get a not tax position like that.
100% remote work anywhere in the country. Also you make your own schedule, as long as it’s 40 hours in the week. Barely any management oversight after 2 years.

I am looking for the post made by the junior associate with the voicemail from the female partner on a Friday night telling her how stupid she is. I didn’t bookmark the voicemail and I wanted to show it to a colleague to show her there are worse bosses than ours. Lol. It was circulating a couple of months ago. I believe it was a New York firm.

Hi. People Manager here. I've been one for 12 years now and I encourage my team to not be "yes" people. At this time, it feels like my manager wants me and my team to be yes people for her. How do I deal with this? I've never been a yes person and I don't preach this to my reports. I don't know what to do. Help?

How do you deal with clients who act like they know more than you even though they don't?

Hello Folks,
Can you pls advise on which company to go for.
R-Systems : They are providing WFH + clarity on the project and team for which I’ll be working upon.
CTS : No clarity as of now, only thing I am aware is that I’m a part of full stack community.
HCL : Some clarity on the project but less package than other two.
R-Systems and CTS are giving same CTC.
YOE ~8
Skill set : . Net full stack + Angular + Azure

Dog loving fish!

Yesterday, we officially released the first version of Critter, a new app for iOS & Android geared toward pet owners/people who help take care of your pets. The basic idea is to make it simple to manage and share pet care with a mobile platform for tracking and communicating care updates.

It’s simple: add your pets. Invite people who help with their care (family, friends, professionals). Build a care plan. Track and share updates/pics/docs/etc.
