Get on bench, get approval for early release and confirmation that there is no dependency on you on email from your supervisor/N+1 and then drop an email to BU HR for early release. They will contact you.
3 options possible
1. They will give option for buyout and you will have to pay for remainder of notice period.
2. If you are adamant that you will serve notice period as you dont want to pay, then they will give option of early release in lieu of leaves pending and no one pays anything. Neither Capgemini nor you.
3. If you have super good HR then they will pay you for remainder of notice period and give early release.
How to get on bench?
They do have a buyout option, but hounding the HR & getting your manager's approval could also work
I am in the similar situation now ,even after submitting medical reports they aren’t leaving
Speak to the manager and get release from the project you are working on
