Does anyone have experience with Ben Glass’s “Great Legal Marketing” programs? https://greatlegalmarketing.com
I ordered a free “starter kit” from his company and received a decent-sized box with some books and audio CD’s. Haven’t listened to the CD’s yet, but the books aren’t bad, with plenty of practical advice.
Now he’s running a promotion where you can get two months of his basic-level course for just $19.95 to cover the cost of shipping. It seems that Ben is one of the better-regarded legal marketing “gurus” out there.
Should I buy more GME?!!!

I’m not really sure but I kinda feel you. This happens to me at my workplace :(. Im in my mid 20s and people say I look like a 14yr old kid 😢
Sometimes I feel my manager is a very jealous person. I joined right out of college and I was paid slightly higher than some of the coworkers on my team and my manager keeps telling me “I’m performing really well and if I continue I will promote you” but never has never promoting me till now. I just don’t understand what’s stopping him.
You definitely deserve to be treated better than that, SE1! You started out getting paid what you deserved, and you probably should have already been promoted by the sounds of it. I wouldn't let your manager keep "threatening" to promote you without doing so. Next time you have a performance review, I would come prepared to ask for a raise/promotion. It sounds like he's just on a power trip, honestly.
Not exactly in my case I don't think, but I think that's because I also have resting B face. But I get more of the smile more comments, which is always an unwelcome piece of advice.
When I was younger, I thought it was a little more flattering. But as I get older, I can't help but wonder if it's keeping me from better opportunities because people can't get past *how young I look.* I think it's a form of implicit bias, and I agree -- it can definitely drive a person crazy! I don't want to spend anymore time talking about how young I look or "wow! You don't look like you've been out of college for 10 years!"
Yup!
Everyday.
It can. I have noticed that at my place of work as well. It doesn't mean they are treating you that way because you look younger but it really could be. No way to know for sure, but I get it. Its so frustrating.
Definitely! They always looked at me like I don't know anything. So I utilized fashion to my advantage. I started dressing better to look like my age and it definitely helped.
Sometimes! I am half-asian and many people say that I look way younger than my age. Looking younger could also look like you're less experienced compared to your other colleagues. :(
