I work 5 hours per week tops. Been with D for over 5 years.
Reason is that I’m in a core project and always have been working long hours. I’m really tired and burnt out. Since I’m in USDC, I’m wondering if I can tell them hey I want to log off at 5 pm.
There is no such rule that USDC can log off at 5 pm.You are ok to have less pay , but less work hours is a big NO.
Lol I guess
You guys are getting paid?
Take this as an opportunity to increase the head count in your project .. setup meetings with the leadership (project) and them know this is a two person work and Hire some additional resource in a different time zone. It’s not a good practice to accept working long hours. Be very reasonable and I’m sure someone will address your concern. I’ve been in multiple projects and learnt that it depends on what phase of project you’re on. If you’re closer to go live you’ll more than likely want to extend and chill after things settle down
Don’t assume that they won’t. Sometimes if you don’t bring it up, they’ll think it’s not worth adding. Every project has at least one leader who cares about their team especially if they’ve been around for a while
i’d talk to the person you report to on the project. Also talk to the CDM if you have one assigned or your coach about this too. My last project i worked 7-3 since it was west coast hours and my core team was totally fine with it and now the current project i work on is 6-3 as we are a mix of east and west coast practitioners on the project. Tell them what’s going on and how you want to work your schedule.
Definitely set up time with your point of contact on the project and express this. Whenever i go to new projects thats the first thing i discuss is what hours and what timezone is needed and then i tell them the schedule i work. Mental health and just your sanity is so important.
Quiet quitting
“If you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life.” Or something like that
🤣🤣🤣 no love and no money are the worst part.
They tell all these stuff ( better wlb, no travel, equal benefits) to bring you in for low pay and once you enter..all of it is alien. So either work based on your pay or find a place that deserves you.
No. It almost entirely project dependent. For my last 4 projects - everyone works the same hours, travels the same amount, does the same stuff. There is no material different between roles or expectations based on talent model (within my projects).
