Any advice on how to request a 20% raise? This is my first career out of college. I signed my offer letter knowing that I was being underpaid by 10%, as per the posted position salary. My 1-year appraisal is close and I would like to request 20% based on an increased workload; I would also like to make up for being underpaid my first year.

My dilemma: Many companies only pay up to a 4% raise. However, that will not cover much in this economy, and I would still be still underpaid.

I just had an initial phone screen for a new Senior HR Generalist role, and the salary is $10k less than the low number I offered when he asked for my salary expectations. I’m at $85 with my current role, so I asked for $90-$95 for this role. However he told me the salary is $80. I’m really unhappy in my current job so I’m wondering how I can either negotiate for more salary (he said there may be wiggle room) or, explain that the $80 number he offered may be okay, depending on other benefits?

I have 4+ years of total experience, started my career in TCS. I have got 700% hike when compared to my salary as a fresher in 2 switches. However I have got only 3/5 rating in all of the 4 appraisal cycles.Sometimes I feel bad about for not getting my work recognised even after putting lot of efforts or due to office politics.But I know there is always a chance to switch company and my goal is to have my own business instead. Should I work for my learning or work more to get rating ?

My onboarding was on 10th October. I was not having the relieving letter from my last company therefore the OM deferred my onboarding to 17th on my request. However, the same is not reflecting on my ibegin portal. She kept all other documents with herself (joining kit, Adhaar copy etc.). I was trying to go to my joining location to submit the relieving letter but the HR told me to wait for the onboarding email for 17th. Has anyone experienced this before? My recruitment in TCS has been done for Gurgaon location. I am fine with Noida location as well. How likely is it that TCS can map me to a project in some other state and ask me to relocate ? Due to personal reasons I can't relocate out of Delhi. Is there any way to prevent such scenario?
