MasterCard performance cycle is from Jan-Dec. Now that you'll be joining on next 1-2 monts atleast depending upon your notice period and ( if you actually join), Your appraisal would be in 2023, do you want to wait that long for an appraisal? My suggestion would be to accept the offer and keep looking out for better ones. Since you're in HR, Infosys or MasterCard (brand name) should not make much of a difference, it (your growth) would ultimately boil down to how impactful you make your job.

I’m a sought after top performer making $200k at the early age of 25. I grew up poor and idk how to navigate this boat load of cash. How do you deal with all this wealth? Asking for serious answers. Thanks!

Why don't more (white collar) Americans take breaks in-between jobs? Like a month or two summer break. Is this mindset that you need to work all the time a vestige from back when people would work at the same company for 40 years until they die?

For those of you who are engaged/married - do you wear your engagement ring to work? I got engaged over the break, and feel like wearing my ring to client site might not be the best idea.

How good are the sanctions all countries and companies are trying to impose in the ongoing war? The destruction in Ukraine is not subsiding so there is no relief to Ukraine citizens. The citizens of Russia will suffer due to the economic fallout of sanctions. Eventually, it’s the general public in the countries on war who suffer the most. And the world pat on their backs for the good work they did by sanctions. Every time the knife falls on the public.

Last year, My girlfriend was making 80k while I was making 200k so I took her out to dinners and took care of the groceries etc. Basically made sure it’s an equitable relationship. She got a new job this year and is now making 210k (more than me) but still expects me to pay for all the dinners and groceries. I’ve already talked to her about this but just resulted in argument. Is there any coming back from this situation to make this equitable relationship or is break up the only option here?
