Does your team or company do much to recognize the smaller things, like National Admin Day? We’re taking the admin on our team out to lunch today, and it just made me think about how those little gestures can go a long way. It doesn’t have to be anything big but taking a moment to acknowledge people who keep everything running does matter. Curious if other teams or companies do things like that, or if it usually just passes by.

What is the cut off for a weird time to email your team an update? Better now or in the morning?

knows what the job entails exactly. I keep hearing about people "fooled" into taking a job in risk advisory thinking it'll really be advisory while they only end up doing IT and Audit support (which I do not want to do).

Need career advice. Trying to break into a finance role, preferably an Analsyt role but I have no transferable experience. I worked as a mortgage loan officer (which is sales) for 2 years after college, but since mortgage is such a niche industry, no hard skills transfer and have no relevant undergrad internships unfortunately. I know I can essentially get any sales job I want in finance IE: financial advisor etc. but don’t want to be stuck in sales forever. Any advice?

Currently interviewing for an Associate Partner role with New York Life. I have 15 years experience in financial services. What should I be asking for when it comes to salary. The range they give is $60k-$160k base, not including bonuses.

I need help figuring out if I’m being underpaid. I’m working in real estate private equity and I focus on fund models and property valuations. I’m currently at base $80k and 20% bonus.
