Don’t we know it…

Is there a dance team in ND office?
Hi fishers! I have offer and signed contract with Deloitte UK and my start day is in the beginning of April. I need skilled worker visa, and we haven’t applied yet for that. Screening and onboarding is in progress. Immigration team doesn’t reply since reached me out 1st time. How much time does it usually needed to go through the whole process? How many days take for visa to be approved since application?Deloitte
Bain & Company Bain & Company Do you have any insights into what they are expecting in the second (last) round? I saw that there are two cases and a presentation. Are they more interested in professionalism than the "analytical" skills assessed in the first round? Do you have any more insights into the presentation?
Many thanks in advance

Try to think about this another way. UK consulting is still paid well compared to nearly everywhere else except US, Swiss and Germany. It’s one of the best in the world. America has surged ahead of us compared to 2008 when salaries were closer, and if they could pay them the same as us in America - they would.
My colleagues in Italy/Spain get paid €40k for being a BA, and standard hours are 1/2am finishes. It’s brutal.
Barely a justification imo if you take into account that other EU consulting markets you cited (IT and ES) are smaller than the UK and that, at least for some fields, UK consultants tend to be staffed on more global projects where revenues are higher vs more local/national staffing in other EU countries. The reality is that given the abysmal industry salaries in this country everyone and their mother tries to get in consulting, which drives wages down

We don’t work more than the US though. Their hours and work culture suuuuucks
my friends in the US have a much worse WLB. I have a US passport and considered moving but didn’t want the ruthless WLB and lack of PTO
