What is considered standard protocol when discussing project experience in interviews for other firms? How much am I allowed to talk about without getting in trouble?
Anybody ever assert their dominance in walkthroughs by flaunting your full head of hair when your client is rocking an aggressive combover?
What is your firm’s policy for vacation around the holidays? Any restrictions (formal or informal) to make sure there are enough associates around to cover client maytr? Priority given by seniority?
Near my client I found this place called topchef that makes fresh meals. I pick up on Monday and microwave them until Thursday. Helps me portion control and it's better than the frozen meals at the grocery store since it has lower sodium and no preservatives. They are cooked fresh weekly. I put in my order every Thursday. They have a good menu online
Am I supposed to care more when something goes wrong? I feel like ppl act like it’s the end of the world if the client does something materially wrong. I just think it’s on the client and move on
I am contracting for PWC on one of their engagements. I just started the background check process which is 2 weeks for pwc and 3 weeks for client to complete. At the same time, I am waiting for an offer from two other companies for something full time. How bad is it to ditch PWC gig during the background screening process (I have already started other on boarding steps). Also is it professional to tell the other companies I am waiting for another offer and need more time to decide.
Sooo leadership just kinda dumped me at the client site 3 weeks ago and left? The daily calls keep getting cancelled and I can’t get a response by email. What the heck do I do?
One member of the client team yelling at another during a 2 hour Telecon “That’s all in your head!!!”
Currently a C at Deloitte (3.5 years since graduated UG) in my promotion year to SC. Being reached out to for project manager role at slalom. Would this be a good step up? Or stay put?
Actual, genuine advice requested - no trolls please. Client is insisting coming back to my hotel room. I want to keep things professional and have a gf. After a drunken dinner: advice please?
Anyone here work for BDO cyber/ technology consulting? Currently Big 4 but not finding it worth it the higher I move up. More of a challenge politically than client focused work.
https://mobile.twitter.com/KateHydeNY/status/1307804918930169864 I’m going to try this tactic this week when I get grilled by my client
In the pitches you’ve won, what percentage of the time do you get to produce the campaign from the pitch, versus the client saying, “You won! Now we’ll give you a real brief with all the details.”
What do you do to motivate yourself when you need to work on the weekend? I’m having a hard time getting started today (doesn’t help that I’ve worked every weekend for months now). Part of it is that I left the hard part of a project for last, but mostly I just don’t feel like working on a Sunday.
Thoughts on compromising the aesthetics of creative/design or concept in order to sell an idea to a very literal client.
Anything to think about or look out for when another vendor at client loses their recompete? I’m expecting lots of rebadging but new to federal and don’t really know what this is going to look like
I am an experienced consultant working at Deloitte. A recruiter reached out to me from PWC for a manager position. I have over three years of experience outside of US and a Masters degree from an accredited university in US. What do I need to know to respond to this recruiter. Obviously in the motive here to join would be a higher base salary.
Just got a raise. Was told I’ve become an integral part of the company. Still getting paid 17k less than my male colleague w less experience who’s lost the agency thousands of $’s from bidding poorly.
I'm just starting the traveling gig- any advice for airlines and hotel chains? I'm looking to build points quickly to earn a few free personal trips 😊
Women who have/had women supervisors who treat the men better than the women but claim to be feminists raise your hand. I need to know I’m not alone.
Hey to the Big consulting firm employees: what’s it like having to find your own project after rolling off a previous. Is it easy? Is it stressful being in the bench?
offer from United Airlines. 6 month contract to hire, went through staffing agency so benefits are terrible, but $80h/160k a year. Currently making 118k. Is the salary increase enough to go?
My H1B expires in July (First three years). EY has filed for an extension. What happens if I don't get by July? I can't fly outside unless I get a new i797. But would a delay my day to day work?
I'm about to produce a project with no agency affiliation, and I'm about to have million questions. Starting with: Who would you suggest I turn to for production insurance ?
I'm on a cross country flight with no power outlets and no seat back entertainment. I feel like I'm stuck in 1992!
Is it obligatory for all airport staff to be rude/incompetent/complete a$$holes? Looking at you ATL. 🤦🏻♀️
Deloitte: In the process of making the official switch from Federal to Commercial. I've heard of others who have done this getting a salary increase...is that true/should I ask?
Whats the best way to study for Platform 1 Dev cert if you have no experience in coding except what you did in college.
Just read that only 8% of nurses are male, but they make more money. How does this gender inequality penetrate every profession? The excuse is that they typically are more proactive in negotiating..
