This is awesome. Thinking about doing the same, but how did you think through the risk here? There’s a reason you can get 9%, right? What does everyone else have wrong?
This makes sense. Thanks. Good point about the cascading liquidations in May being a legit stress test
Congrats! why not keep it in BTC and earn interest on that? That way you can capture any cap gains too? I’m at a similar $ amount but earn ~$36k/yr + cap gains.
USDC is not FDIC insured though.
I have $60K in USDC at voyager.. but it wasn't crypto earrings this was my earnings that I transferred in.
Have another $40K I can throw in... Wonder if this is better or should just stick to index funds.

The way I think about it:
In the past, people would invest 60/40 in stocks and bonds. Stocks gave a higher upside and bonds provided a stable income + decorrelation.
Right now, due to extremely low yields, bonds are basically uninvestible. They pay less than inflation so I'm using stablecoin lending as a better equivalent.
I expect, in a high inflation environment, for VOO to outperform 9%, but 9% is stable and beats inflation.

You say “lol” alot!

Lol
Can someone explain the risk/reward here to me in layman’s terms
Thoughts on Voyageur vs BlockFi? I’ve heard BlockFi is less risky and returns are more stable but Voyageur seems to have better returns?
Chief
That's the trade-off

Are you not concerned for capital risk ?!?!?

I acknowledge the risk, but also the opportunity
