Seeking some advice for home buying. Went under contract on a new construction back in March, was originally supposed to be ready in August but has been delayed until November. I’ve began getting quotes for mortgage rates through lenders and the best I’ve seen so far is 5.75% (excellent credit, dp at 10%) at a 60 day lock. Debating if I should test my luck with the market to see if rates will drop or if I should go ahead and lock my rate in before Rates increase even more

Folks who invest in broad index funds and plan to purify their investments: how do you calculate the percentage of haraam vs halal investments? Haven’t found a ton of good resources for doing so

So I have been maxing 401k and Roth for a few years now. I setup the Roth on an auto deposit spread across the year. Well, it just dawned on me that with my wife and I recent (December last year) raises. We are now over the limit that's allowed to contribute to them. I have already invested a good chunk for the 2020 year.
So my questions are, do I just pull the money out of it or leave it?
What sort of penalties can I expect for next year's taxes?

So I’ve been sitting on $40k in cash for last 2 months given my certainty of the economy (stupid move in retrospect). I’m seeing lots of posts about really bad losses. If you trade you’re going to lose money - hopefully not all the time, but many positions will be mistakes. But you need a process to find ideas and manage positions. Two books you should read are “The New Trading for a Livinng” and “The Laws of Trading.” Both look at psychology, process, and risk in different ways that can help you work out your own process. The next 18 months will be much harder than the last 18 - time to start learning.

How do you make sure you’re getting a good deal when buying a property?

I'm about to leave my current company and am thinking of rolling over my 401K to the new company's 401K bc more money can equal greater returns (if the market does well).
