We cling to a bad decision, not because it will get better, but because it feels like throwing away the effort, money, or time already spent is a bigger loss.
When it comes to investing, this can be dangerous.
Investors often hold onto underperforming stocks or investments for too long, thinking their initial investment justifies sticking with it. But here’s the reality—what’s already spent (the “sunk cost”) can’t be recovered.
