On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the most, how pissed would you be if you were a supervisor and you had a new direct report on your team with a higher salary than you? The years of experience are the same, but you have 3 designations (they have 0), you have 3 licenses (they have just 2), they have little to no experience with technical complex claims (you have hundreds), and you have 3 years in management (they have 0).

Hello all - I have been offered a role with a big 4 in Canada for the "Manager" level. Since, it is a new market, I am unaware of the salary benchmark and big4 pay range in Canada.

It’s been two days and they finally get back to me saying they haven’t been able to sync with the hiring manager but will keep me posted. Friend of mine was supposed to receive an offer (told verbally) from Deloitte and then just found out they are pausing on hiring the role. How common is that? Seems wildly unprofessional that none of the partners called and instead it was the recruiter conveying that news. At McKinsey, if that happened, the head of the practice or the office would personally make the phone call at the very least.

I just accepted an offer this Tuesday. Wanted some insight on how soon Deloitte starts the immigration process after signing the offer. Have not heard anything till now. Joining is last week of March.
