Every week, I do a Monday Motivation with my students. I want to do one to show the difference between mediocrity and excellence. I like doing visual props to drive my point home. I was thinking of adding sloppy as the lowest form, next mediocrity, and then excellence. I want to show that everyone's level of excellence differs according to their abilities, and that excellence results from giving our best efforts. Any suggestions or ideas are appreciated.

I wonder if you could bake like 3 cookies to different degrees, maybe the first one is a ball of dough, the second one is undercooked and the final one is perfectly crisp? And maybe you could have different cookie shapes of the "excellent" one to show that excellence does not always come in one shape or size?

I like this idea. I could have the three cookies on the table, with numbered cards of 1-3 by each cookie. Students pick which they prefer. After an intro, have the students hold up their choice, and then commence into the lesson. Thank you for the idea.

Maybe a skit showing a game (sport) where one students poor attitude may score points for the team, but not win the game. Then a great attitude (helping team mates, etc.) gets them points and helps win the game.
