What would be the best method to transition from a financial advisory role to a more financial analyst focused position? Is this type of move unheard of/too difficult to do?

How do I leave my role as someone on the talent team. I am on a small recruitment team of only a few people, who connect daily. I am also responsible for sending out updates tracking new hires and upcoming leavers (aka I would be on this list if i decide to leave). Ok straight out of ad school/internship at an A-list agency: is it better to take a job at a “lesser” shop where their work isnt great but they’re the only place hiring rn OR wait it out for better?
