Everyone’s title seems inflated now, but the work underneath hasn’t changed. Same responsibilities, same pressure, just a fancier label. It starts to feel like titles are handed out to placate people instead of actually reflecting growth. I’m proud of my role, but I’m skeptical of what these labels even mean anymore. Do titles still matter in this profession, or are they just optics?

I need some insight. Just had a phone interview for a management job in healthcare. I felt comfortable and felt like the interview went well. I ask questions and the ACNO said that I asked great questions. They said that they had other interviews to do as well but said the next step is to bring me in for an on-site interview (I live 1,000 miles away) and that the recruiter would be reaching out. Thoughts? I’m going to drive myself crazy analyzing everything.

Entity A and B have a partnership such that me working for entity B will create conflict of interest. Should I disclose my relationship with entity A during the initial interview with entity B’s hiring manager? If so, what should I say?
