You could move into corporate tax roles, finance, or even internal audit. Consulting is also a big one. Some people even transition into roles like financial planning. There are actually a lot of different paths, it's just figuring out which one will be the right fit for you

Tax in industry.....not alot of exits without starting from scratch again

Is there a ceiling in BD&L work both in consulting and in industry for those who didn’t do a PhD or MD? I feel like most of the individuals I see in these roles at senior levels have one or both degrees. Am I “wasting” time taking projects in these spaces if I only plan on getting an MBA?

Agency recruitment managers! How do y’all set goals for your department? Do you focus on outreach goals, applicant goals, purely hiring goals no matter the outreach numbers, conversion rates, etc? Any insight would be so helpful!

Are private companies easier to work at than public companies in accounting? We have such an accelerated close deadline at the publicly traded company I’m at now, I really hate the inflexible tight deadlines and analysis seems to drag on forever after that. We also close AP/AR very early in the month yet that doesn’t stop payments/receipts from happening so we’re constantly adjusting our accruals until the end of month. Do private companies start their close after the month actually ends?

When is the best time to leave and go to another big4? I am at PwC and I knew the reputation they had and Some people said It may not be for me because of it. Ive been here a year and I feel as there right. My busy season is starting and I want to leave (not just because of my team) but as some of you may know getting along with the people you work with is a big part of wanting to stay at your job.
