I'm honestly wondering if/when it ever switches back too. Feels like we're all fighting over bread crumbs right now, and they're offering less and less with each year. I'm in insurance and it seems like the writing on the wall is showing a LOT of automation going forward in our industry.
I'm in tech and I don't think it will ever get back to being as good as it once was. I am pretty confident that we have years of it getting worse before it will start to improve even a little bit. Though my industry is one of the hardest hit because by all the tech and economic changes, I don't think that very many industries are safe from what's happening.

I unfortunately have the same feeling :/ hoping it isn’t true
Am confused
Sadly, I think we’re in for a long run of this employer, friendly market. Especially as the economy is not doing great. There are more people who need jobs then jobs available so salaries get to be cut pretty low. not to mention all the jobs being replaced by AI which is only going to decrease our value.
Bottom line, it’s *always* an employer’s market.
I think about that a lot. I think we are about to face a substantial shift in how employment works. Either we're going to go down to a shorter work week, or something… But the current system seems unsustainable. And I don't know if workers are ever going to have the leverage they used to have. With technology, AI, and a changing economy, who knows what's going to happen?
Is it an employer's market or AI's market?
