Hey, I have 4 YOE and currently a manager at PwC and have been managing teams for a little over a year now. My role mainly consists of leading teams of engineers deliver MVPs to our clients.
If I wanted to exit to Google or Facebook (Meta) what role would align for me? I was looking at engineering manager roles but unsure if that’s too senior for me.

Hi Londoners ,
Moving in from outside UK.
Looking out for some areas in west / NW London where one can live with an infant on max 1400£ rental while requiring one partner to travel to Central occasionally for work and the other person 3 days a week to LHR.
Some Qns:
1) Will 1 Bedroom be too cramped for the infant to grow up? Should I raise budget?
2) I prefer being in family /childcare friendly areas. Had Harrow, Acton in mind . Are they good for my budget or any other suggestions?
TIA Deloitte @

Because the rotational program asked us to move to BFE every 6 months and we were unable to do that due to having to take care of closeby family

My school basically pushed us into PA. I know almost no only one person going the CPA route who didn’t start there. Not even sure what the rotational programs you refer to are.

Oh ok. I thought OP meant rotational programs with the big4 or midsized firms. I looked into then at undergrad. I didn’t apply to them because personally accounting was never my long term goal. Going into audit was always a stepping stone to get into advisory/consulting. Also the rotational programs at least at my school where from no name companies or companies with weak brands and they pay was worse than PA. So I never bothered applying. That being said. I do understand what others have said, there is a big pressure from schools in professors to go into PA. They make it seem sometime if you don’t go into PA or even big4 (depending on who you talk to) that your career is basically over before it begins. I find that mindset really toxic. I choose my path because it seemed like the best way to get to my goals, I’m met others that were steered into a direction and ended up regretting it
because none of us got a rotational offer
Agreed, the really good leadership/rotational programs are more competitive
Something something exit ops
I was a broke college student that got $55k and decent benefits offered to them. But, I’m also unsure what rotational programs you’re talking about.
Only a few companies recruited from my school for rotational programs
And I’m also wondering, what did we (those of us in PA) give up by not going (or getting into) a leadership rotational program (FP&A, financial reporting, cost accounting)?
