I'll let you know when I reach the end of the tunnel, lol. Right now I'm probably up to 80 applications in the last three weeks and I've only have two interviews.

Wow. I feel that. Sending you good luck!

Wife got laid off. She sent out 133 resumes, all catered to the job and company, and got finally got rehired

Wow! 133 is a ton. Glad it worked out!

Same here, really trying to get out of the nonprofit world.

I’ve applied to about 80+ jobs since May of this year. I’ve retained at least 16 interviews and have been offered a job 2x. It’s rough out here but I’m hopeful.

Sending you good luck that you find the right one!

But it’s a quality game too, not just quantity. And I wouldn’t look at it as “starting over.” Often the job search process involves going through the interview stages with multiple companies and weighing offers or rejecting them until you find the right fit.

The quality part is so true.

Should I Go Back and Reneg? Recently I was offered a role as a Project Implementation Manager (In Retirement Services) .The salary range for Colorado residents was 65-89K. I’m located in NY so the recruiter said he would try to get me more. Ultimately he came back at 90K which is a bit inline with that I was seeing on Glassdoor but approx looks like I may leave 10-12K on the table. I accepted already but may get an offer from another HR company in account management around 90-100K. Need advice

Started a new job a year ago, high performer. My manager suggested a promotion to Product Manager since that‘s the work I’m doing, but that would be a 50% raise. Higher ups decided instead to make a “new role” (not PM), that has no analog in the company and is hard to price via Glassdoor, etc. I feel like this is to limit my promotion salary to something like 10% from where it currently is. Is there anything I can do? FWIW: I have a PhD from top 5 program and am working in that field. Thanks!

I’m interviewing with a startup and the range has a 40k difference from the lowest to highest point. It’s also pre-seed and comes with equity, and health, 401k benefits. It’s a director of sales role so I would eventually be recruiting and managing a team along with building the processes and strategy. What would you consider a fair compensation package? If they offer me something on the lower end of the range, is it still appropriate to counter with an offer that is over their stated range?
