Folks at EY who've applied for GC recently. I joined EY in June, so about 6 months in. I understand there is a 1 year wait on H1B before starting GC process. But have there been cases when this has started faster for new hires? I'm thinking of requesting in the new year by first talking to practice lead. Added incentive is SO is in her third try in 2021 and in case doesn't get picked, would want to keep the H4-EAD option open as soon as possible.

The issue I am having is managing volume. I have about 150 active files some pre-lit and the rest are in litigation. Cases range in value from very small to low six figures. I also take the driver seat for the grunt work on the firms bigger cases which are at or near 7 figure value. I constantly feel (cont.)

1-140 premium processing, it took 2 business days to approve.

Fellow 🐠, what’s the average processing time for H4 Extn? I have 4 months in hand. Is that enough?Heard premium processing is not available for H4 and EAD.

Other than citizenship, are there any other benefits of having a baby in the US vs in India? My wife and I may not be settling in the US, depending on what we decide over time. Has anyone had success claiming for unemployment benefits while on H1B? For data point, I’m in NY and I received a request for documents showing work authorization and sent back EAD, SSN, copy of H1B stamp and I797. Case is still processing.
