I did a secondment to Canada when I worked for PwC, OP. I also had an option to go to Brasil. What worked for me was connecting with a senior partner in the country I wanted to go. They then acted as my 'sponsor' and made sure the budget and HR elements were sorted from their side. Canada (like Australia and most other countries) requires some justification for them hiring from abroad rather than locally, so them being able to articulate why my skills/ experience/ relationships were of value also helped. After that - it was a breeze to have a partner in my practice sign it off from their end. I was an SM at the time, and this was back in 2015. But I helped two Ms and one other SM make similar transfers in 2019 and 2020 off of the same advice. Hope that helps. DM if you want to ask anything else
