For 8 yoe java backend developer, do service based companies ask system design questions?

Anybody done a dry January before? Not concerned about being able to do it, more just curious what people’s experiences were, the benefits they saw, etc.

This is the only bowl I can think to post in, but I'm really feeling it today. Has anyone lost their best friend (i.e. through time/growing up) and feel like none of their current friends could live up to the fun/connection you used to have with your high school BFF? I feel like I put too much focus on that one friend and also my boyfriend and just never actually made time for anyone else. I fucked myself over.

I currently make 60LPA in Hyderabad and my firm has an offer for 150k in Chicago. Is it worth? I am generally happy with the package in India and have good savings as I own my house in Hyderabad and I am not a lavish spender. I have been onsite in US previously with an allowance but I did not go crazy over the so called American experience. Single earner with one kid.
