For those of you who graduated without a job but are now practicing attorneys, what has your salary trajectory been?

Just graduated without a job lined up and have been incredibly stressed about this non-stop for the past 2 years. Looking for some general idea of what to expect for the future. Any advice is welcome!

Ex: “First job $X, second job $X, …, now $X. [practice area] [location (HCOL/LCOL)] [any other info you want to provide]”

Graduated in Great Recession with no job lined up.
First job was $40,000 state gov't job.
Second job was $120,000 at large but nonmarket paying firm.
Third job was market paying firm.
Now at different market paying firm, and with bonus made over half a million last year.

Okay, so here’s a question for everyone:

How do you start over at age 50 and leave the legal profession? I am finding out the options aren’t great and a JD degree appears to be more of a liability than an asset. I don’t make great money as an attorney (130k) but cannot take a job making 60k a year either. Still have a family and wife to support but no more student loan debt thankfully. Anyone thinking about or successfully made the transition?

This is a tough one. My first thought was that you need to start your own business or take over someone else’s business.

I'm holding an offer from MakeMyTrip and another offer from OlaElectric. Ninjacart is willing to make me an offer. But they're saying that they'd discuss the offer only after the other company that I'm interviewing with has come up with an offer first. There's been a delay from HRs of the companies in a similar way. How do I urge them to send me the offer letter without sounding pushy? I had reached out to some of the HRs myself. Would that be too awkward if I accept & back out their offer?

Home office preference question. I am getting ready to redo the layout of my home office. One option I'm considering would have my desk facing a wall. I am wondering if anyone with this current setup has any feedback about it. I would face the wall so that I would have a better background for video conferences (am on about half the day) and also my cord situation would be cleaner.

Transactional associate. Lateraled 6 months ago and one of the biggest pain points has been my new firm’s inclination to “hop on a call”, which of course requires every single stakeholder to join. The end result being every call has 25 people on it and nothing actually gets done because no one wants to ask a question that could come off as silly. It’s destroying my ability to get anything done during the day. It’s a complete performance and it drives me nuts.
